Rhöni Sour
This is a recipe for a classical sour style cocktail using Rhöntropfen from Meiningen (see Wikipedia article or the homepage of the producer). I was introduced to this Jägermeister style digestif through Christina. Produced in her hometown and not to be missed on important occations, it is an essential part of Meiningen.

The Rhöni Sour is a classical cocktail in the style of a Pisco Sour. The egg white gives the drink a nice creamy consistency, but can be savely ommited if you are afraid of eating/drinking raw eggs. It does not influence the taste much.
Recipe
1/4 oz | fresh lime juice |
1/2 oz | sugar sirup (1:1) |
1 1/2 oz | Rhöntropfen |
1 | egg white |
Put all ingrediences into a shaker without ice and shake dry. This will produce a nice emulsion with the egg white. After having given the mixture a hard shake, add the ice and shake away again. Pour into a glass using a strainer.
